Overview✨

Long story short, I was accepted as a participant in the Innovation Battlefield. I am very grateful because I can learn directly with an experienced mentor (as long as I am confused about learning on my own ☹️). The Innovation Battlefield runs from September to December 2020.

The Innovation Battlefield consists of 24 participants who are divided into 6 groups. Innovation Battlefield consists of 2 sessions, Master Class, and Battlefield. In the Master Class session, each week, participants will be given material based on design thinking (plus UX Writing). Furthermore, in the Battlefield session, participants will present their work results based on the material they have obtained that week.

Roles & Responsibility 👨‍💻

Our team consists of a UX Researcher, UX Writer, and 2 UX Designers. In this project, I have a role as a UX Designer. But in fact, we are really doing all this together because time is minimal. We also don't have a UI Designer, so we are all trying to become UI Designer 😂.

Project Background 🙌

My team got the theme "Creative & SME," where this theme aims to advance Indonesia's creative economy sector. The creative economy subsector we have chosen is the film industry sector.

In 2016, the film, animation, and video sub-sector's growth rate was the second-highest based on our preliminary research. Which was 10.09%, becoming one of the sub-sectors prioritized by the tourism sector (source: Kemenparekraf).

However, according to Kemenparekraf, there are challenges in the film creative economy sub-sector, namely the options for obtaining a film team (director, screenwriter, crew, and actor/actresses ) very limited. Therefore, a strong community network will help connect every stakeholder so that the film industry runs well. In fact, the sub-sector in the creative economy will progress if the clusters, workers, and communities run well (source: Mt. Auburn Associates, 2000).

<aside> 💡 From the results of this initial research, we aim to connect people in small film communities so that these communities can have sufficient resources so that the film sub-sector can grow.
